German tuning company Brabus has given the Mercedes-Benz Unimog U500 Black edition an even further boost, making it one of the most potent off-roaders.

This special Unimog U 500 Black Edition is aimed at customers in the Gulf region. It offers a combination of off-road capabilities and elegance.

The high, truck-like seating position provides the driver with excellent all-round visibility.

Brabus has customised the interior by adding carbon trim to the instrument cluster, centre console, door and grab handles. The roof and the A/B-pillars are lined in Alcantara leather, while the sports-style seats are upholstered in the finest mastic leather and the footwells are carpeted in soft velour.

It also comes with a black leather steering wheel and sporty aluminium pedals.

Technical highlights include the COMAND system from the S-Class, with a 6.5-inch screen, DVD navigation, CD changer and a specially developed compass function.

The Unimog's 6.4-litre engine generates an output of 205 kW and torque of 1 100 Nm. A high final-drive ratio enables speeds of over 120 km/h to be achieved.
